An Honest Fiverr review as mixing and mastering service providers.
Probably almost everyone in 2025 knows how Fiverr works, for what I heard almost every person I know around some kind of digital service has landed there as provider or as client (or both), and our professional mixing and mastering service can still be found there.
It’s basically this massive online place where you can find all sorts of freelancers. Think of it like a digital marketplace for services – everything from logos to websites to social media help. The cool thing is, freelancers create “Gigs,” which are like pre-made service packages, so you know exactly what you’re getting and for what price.
If you need something done, just type it in the search bar and boom, tons of freelancers pop up. You can check out their Gig descriptions, see their past work, and read reviews to make sure they’re legit. And prices are usually pretty clear, often starting super cheap (like, yeah, $5, hence the name!). If you’re a freelancer, Fiverr gives you a spot to show off your skills and get hired.
But it’s not just Gigs. Fiverr has some handy extras. You can chat directly with freelancers to talk about your project. Payments are safe and secure, they hold the money until you’re happy with the work. They’ve got tools to help you manage your orders and keep things on track. And freelancers even get levels based on how good they are and how much they deliver. They’ve even got Fiverr Pro and Business options for bigger projects and companies. Basically, Fiverr makes it simple to find and hire freelance talent from all over the world – anyone can get stuff done and anyone can make money using their skills. It’s pretty awesome.
But we decided to abandon that ship, and here’s why:

The Main issue of Fiverr.
Alright, so, the platform? It’s cool for selling your stuff as neat little packages. Not everything fits that way, but you can tweak it. Worked for us, we were into it. Then, boom, someone buys the wrong thing. Need Canceling? That’s where the fun stopped.
Fiverr’s got these Levels, right? Higher level, you’re the big shot. The real headache? Those Levels, and how they tank when you cancel anything. Picture this: someone messes up, buys “5 stems mixing” by accident. You gotta cancel, for any reason. Your level and rep? Toast, for months. “Completed orders” bar takes a hit. Miss the percentage, you drop a level. Hits newbies hardest, like, instead of helping them. If I messed up, fine. But if they cancel? Why am I punished? It’s illogical.
Tried talking to support, feels like talking to a robot. Just canned replies, explaining how Fiverr works. Obviously. Plus, it’s a race to the bottom on price for the same service and I found, for the same reason, that finding a real quality service is hard. I needed an animated logo, found a lot of providers doing the same with the same After Effects templates. Finally I chose a random one and got what I needed in 4 seconds, like expected.
Other point is, unless you pay to promote your gigs (after they changed things) you get almost zero views, Even with their 20% cut on your sales. At least in the Euro area this is not convenient anymore.
The goal of this Fiverr review is only to share my experience, and you had a different experience, please let me know, I could have lost some point in the sea of options (it never was our main source of income, of course).
